Adam Stockberger successfully defended three municipal police officers against claims brought by an individual pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for the alleged use of excessive force, deliberate indifference to a medical need and supervisor liability. The Honorable Henry Autrey, United States District Judge for Eastern District of Missouri, granted the Motion for Summary Judgment filed by Mr. Stockberger, having found the Officers were entitled to qualified immunity. Judge Autrey ruled the Officers’ actions were made in a good faith effort to protect the plaintiff, adjacent bystanders and themselves, and were not intended to harm the plaintiff.
Paul Simon, Jr. has secured summary judgment on behalf of a governmental entity in a declaratory judgment action regarding the governmental entity’s compliance with the Missouri Tax Increment Finance Act.
